Terms of Service

Welcome to Singulate Psychiatry. By accessing or using our services, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. Please read these terms carefully before proceeding with any appointments or services. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our services. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, with changes posted on our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

1. Services Provided
Singulate Psychiatry offers telehealth psychiatric assessments, consultations, and treatment services. Our qualified psychiatrists provide professional medical advice tailored to your mental health needs. Our services are private, and we do not offer bulk-billing. This means that all fees must be paid upfront, and Medicare rebates may be processed on your behalf if you are eligible.

2. Appointments and Fees

  • Deposit Requirement: A 25% deposit is required to secure your appointment. The deposit is refundable if you cancel or reschedule more than 48 hours before the appointment. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.

  • Payment: The remaining balance is due immediately after the appointment. We will process the Medicare rebate on your behalf once full payment has been made. It is your responsibility to ensure your Medicare information is up to date to receive any eligible rebates.

  • Non-Medicare Eligible Patients: If you are not eligible for Medicare rebates, you will be responsible for the full payment of our services.

  • Report Release: Any written reports or assessments prepared by Singulate Psychiatry will only be released once full payment has been received. This policy ensures that all fees are settled prior to the completion of our service delivery.

  • Payment Methods: We accept payments via Tyro and other methods that may be specified during the booking process. By using our services, you agree to the payment terms and conditions of these third-party providers as they relate to your transactions.

3. Telehealth Services
By using our telehealth services, you acknowledge the following:

  • Technology Use: Telehealth involves using digital platforms to deliver services, which may differ from in-person consultations. There can be potential risks, such as technical failures, which may affect the quality of the session.

  • Privacy during Sessions: While we use secure platforms to conduct telehealth consultations, you are responsible for ensuring privacy at your end, such as using a private space and secure internet connection.

  • Emergency Situations: Telehealth services are not suitable for emergencies or crisis situations. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please contact emergency services or visit your nearest hospital.

4. Privacy and Data Security

  • Data Storage: We store your information securely using Cliniko, which complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Your data is used to provide our services, improve patient care, and comply with legal requirements.

  • Email Communication: Any records received via email will be securely stored in Cliniko and then deleted from our email system. We will mark emails as 'confidential' when requesting or sharing sensitive information.

  • Subscription Services: If you subscribe to newsletters or updates via our website, we may use your email address to send relevant communications. You can opt out of these communications at any time by following the unsubscribe link or contacting us.

  • Access to Records: You may request access to your records by submitting a written request. We will process this request in accordance with Australian privacy law.

5. Cancellations and Missed Appointments

  • Cancellation Policy: You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 48 hours before the scheduled time for a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations within 48 hours will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.

  • Missed Appointments: If you fail to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice, you may be required to pay the full fee before booking future appointments.

  • Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule your appointment, we will do our best to accommodate your request, subject to availability.

6. Third-Party Integrations

  • Payment Processing: Singulate Psychiatry uses third-party services like Tyro for payment processing. By using our services, you agree to the terms and conditions of these third-party providers as they relate to your payments and transactions. We take reasonable steps to ensure the security of your payment information; however, we are not responsible for any issues or breaches that may occur on the part of third-party providers.

  • Data Sharing with Integrations: Information such as payment details may be shared with third-party services strictly for processing transactions and facilitating services. We do not sell or share your personal information for any other purposes.

7. Liability and Disclaimers

  • No Guarantee of Outcomes: While we strive to provide high-quality care, Singulate Psychiatry cannot guarantee specific outcomes from psychiatric assessments or consultations. Our treatment recommendations are based on clinical judgment and tailored to individual needs.

  • Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Singulate Psychiatry is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, including any technical issues related to telehealth.
